A Looming Challenge…
Fabien and his trainer, Jean-Yves Cheutin, hold their final training session before the 2012 Australian Open on the Penrith white-water stadium that hosted the Sydney 2000 Olympics.
River in spate, race cancelled
Fabien turns out for a French regional competition in K1 and C1 on a natural whitewater course in Foix. The organisers cancel the races when the flow rate jumps from 20m3 to 70m3, but he manages a test run in his new kayak.
Back in Harness
Fabien resumes training, chills out with fellow Team Adidas members in Corsica, tests his new K1 in a race in Pau and competes for fun in C1, an event he might take more seriously after the London Olympics!

Duo wins second World C2 silver
Fabien and Denis win silver in the double canoe (C2) at the 2011 World Championships in Bratislava, finishing runners-up in the event for the second year in succession.
Worlds: Duo qualifies in C2, Fabien in K1
The Duo sails into the double canoe (C2) semis at the 2011 World Championships as the wind drops in Bratislava and the heats are rerun. Fabien qualifies for the semis in his single kayak (K1) speciality.
