Denis wins European U23 C1 title
It’s third time lucky for Denis in the U23 European championships. Having finished 6th in 2008 and 5th last year, he wins the 2010 C1 title in Leipzig, Germany, in his final year in the category. Now he’s looking ahead to the rescheduled European senior competition in Bratislava from August 13-15
Denis rides the Bourg roller-coaster
In the run-up to the French national championships at Bourg Saint-Maurice in the mountains of Savoie, everyone, it seems, is ill. Denis and Fabien both have sore throats and blocked noses. Fortunately for Denis, he never tires of sailing at Bourg, which reacts very differently to the man-made pools he and Fabien usually sail on.
Cancelled Europeans rescheduled
The 2010 European championships, cut short in June by flooding on the Danube and initially cancelled, have been rescheduled. They will now take place in Bratislava, Slovakia, from August 13-15. In the meantime, Denis is hoping to win the French national C1 title in Bourg Saint-Maurice.
World Cup: Through to Semis in Spain
All three boats are through to the semi-finals of the Seu d’Urgell World Cup. Denis is quietly confident despite spending longer on the water than he’d originally planned in order to improve on his performance in the first qualifying run.
