Fabien and Denis begin their Olympic year in Australia at their annual training camp on the Sydney pool that attracts the cream of the slalom paddlers each winter. This year, Fabien has reservations about the pool’s configuration.

Fabien turns out for a French regional competition in K1 and C1 on a natural whitewater course in Foix. The organisers cancel the races when the flow rate jumps from 20m3 to 70m3, but he manages a test run in his new kayak.
